 Madrid
Barajas Airport is the busiest airport in Spain
with passenger numbers of over 50 million each year.
These figures place it in the top ten of the world's
largest airports. The airport is on the north-eastern
outskirts of Madrid, about 10 miles from the city
centre. Madrid Barajas Airport has four passenger
terminals, the newest of which, Terminal 4 (with
its satellite - T4S) was completed in 2005 when
the airport's capacity was also increased with additional
runways. The airport attracts both commercial travellers
and holiday-makers and enjoys a central position
in Spain with excellent road and rail communications
with the rest of the country.
There are Hertz offices at Madrid Barajas Airport
located in Terminals 1 and 4. The car hire offices
in Terminal 4 are in the basement under the arrivals
area. The Terminal 1 Hertz desk is in the entrance
hall. Customers can select from a fleet of vehicles
