HERTZ LANZAROTE AIRPORT
|
 Lanzarote
Airport is located on the southern coast of the
island of Lanzarote near the town of Arrecife in
the Canary Islands. With around five million passengers
per year, Lanzarote Airport is the second busiest
in the islands behind only Tenerife's South Airport.
The airport is ideally located for holiday-makers
being only a short distance from Lanzarote's most
popular tourist destinations. The island's busiest
resort, Puerto del Carmen, is only 8 miles from
the airport and other popular resorts including
Las Playas, Arrecife and Costa Teguise are all within
half an hour's drive or less.
Lanzarote airport has two passenger terminals. Terminal
1 was completed in 1999 and has the capacity for
6 million passengers per year. It is fully equipped
with all the facilities required by the modern air-traveller
including shops and boutiques, bars, cafes and restaurants
and banking facilities. It is laid out on two floors
with Arrivals on the ground floor and departures
on the floor above. Terminal 2 is based on Lazarote
Airport's old terminal building and is used exclusively
for inter-island flights.
Hertz have car hire offices in both terminals of
Lanzarote - Arrecife Airport. In Terminal 1 they
can be found in the ground-floor Arrivals Area at
the left-hand end of the entrance hall if looking
out towards the car park. In Terminal 2 the Hertz
office can be seen on the right upon leaving the
Baggage Claim near the terminal exit. Hertz Lanzarote
Airport provide a wide selection of vehicles to
cater for all travellers' requirements. Apart from
the standard range of hatchbacks, saloons and economy
vehicles there are more specialised vehicles. For
larger parties and families there are 6 and 7 seater
people-carriers providing extra passenger space
and comfort and for those wishing to enjoy open-air
motoring around Lanzarote there are convertibles
available. More prestigious vehicles are also available
including Mercedes and sports cars. Advance booking
is advised to ensure securing your vehicle of choice
and to save time at the airport. Hertz also offer
discounts for early reservations. |
