HERTZ ALMERIA AIRPORT
|
 Located
on the coast of the Bay of Almeria in southern Spain,
Almeria Airport is ideally located for holiday-makers
visiting the many resorts in the area such as Cabo
de Gata, Mojacar, El Ejido, Aguadulce and Roquetas
de Mar. The airport has excellent access to the
A-7 Autovia del Mediterraneo motorway which is only
3 miles away and it is within 5 miles of the city
of Almeria itself. Almeria is a small modern airport
which has benefitted over recent years from the
growth of budget airlines such as Ryanair and Easyjet
and it currently handles around 1 million passengers
each year, around a quarter of which fly from the
United Kingdom departing from airports including
Birmingham, Manchester, London-Gatwick and East
Midlands. The passenger terminal at Almeria Airport
has been improved and modernised over recent years
and provides a full range of facilities which includes
banking services, a pharmacy, boutiques, cafes and
restaurants as well as the many other passenger
services to be expected from a modern airport.
The Hertz offices at Almeria Airport are to be found
in the entrance hall of the Arrivals area. There
is a row of car rental desks to the left of the
exit from the Baggage Claim in which the Hertz desk
occupies a roughly central position. Early online
booking is recommended especially during the busy
Summer months and Hertz offer discounts for advanced
